Ironscales Wins Best Messaging Security Solution Award

Cyber Defense Magazine has announced the winners of its 2017 Awards, with Ironscales winning an Editor’s Choice Award in the Best Messaging Security Solution category for its automated phishing defense platform IronTraps™.

The Cyber Defense Magazine Awards are decided by a panel of independent information security experts, with nominated products assessed on a wide range of criteria over a period on months. The prestigious awards recognize innovative cybersecurity products that are highly effective at blocking cyber threats.

Pierluigi Paganini, Editor-in-Chief of Cyber Defense Magazine, said “We’re thrilled to recognize next-generation innovation in the information security marketplace and that’s why Ironscales has earned this award from Cyber Defense Magazine.

IronTraps™ is the first, and currently only, email security solution to combine human intelligence with machine learning, with the anti-phishing solution capable of remediating phishing attacks automatically without any input from security teams.

The solution includes an email security addon that allows employees to report phishing emails with a single click. Those emails are then automatically subjected to a forensic analysis to determine whether they are malicious or benign. If they are malicious, the threat is blocked by removing those emails from servers, endpoints and the SIEM. The process takes just a few seconds.

Phishing has grown to become the number one cyber threat faced by organizations. While cybercriminals have previously favored exploit kits for attacks, over the past 12 months email has become the number one attack vector. Organizations that fail to implement effective phishing, spear phishing and social engineering defenses are likely to experience many costly attacks.

Ironscales founder and CEO Eyal Benishti explained the aim of the company, saying “Our commitment is to make it exponentially more difficult for cyber criminals to exploit emails, SMS and social media using any type of complex phishing scheme.” The company has now developed a range of products that help organizations identify, block and remediate phishing attacks.

Benishti said, “We’re thankful to Cyber Defense Magazine for validating our approach to solving one of the most complicated cybersecurity issues of our time.”
