Wombat Security Included in Gartner 2016 Magic Quadrant for Security Awareness Computer-Based Training

Gartner Inc., has included Wombat Security Technologies in its 2016 Magic Quadrant for Security Awareness Computer-Based Training. This is the third consecutive year than the cyber security awareness training provider has been included in the Magic Quadrant.

Gartner rates companies on two main criteria: The ability to execute and completeness of vision. Each vendor is assessed and given a score in each area. Based on the score for each component, companies will be placed in one of four quadrants.

To be placed in the leader’s quadrant, companies must excel in both areas. Companies positioned in the leader’s quadrant have the highest composite scores for ability to execute and completeness of vision. Companies are also rated for their product and overall viability, sales execution and pricing, marketing execution, customer experience, operations and market responsiveness and record.

This year, Gartner increased its focus and weighting of scores in key areas such as multi-language support, the variety of content formats, learning management systems, gamification, supplemental content libraries, integration partnerships and possibilities and competitive pricing.

Over the past few years, Wombat has demonstrated the ability to develop its products to better meet the needs of its customers, adding a number of enhancements to improve effectiveness, usability, and value.

Wombat has recently enhanced its training platform to include mobile responsive modules that allow employees to complete training modules on any device, at any time in any location. The training modules also now comply with U.S. Section 508 standard and the International Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA standard ensuring individuals with disabilities have access to the complete training program. The modules have been translated into 25 languages to better serve the needs of multi-national organizations. Dynamic reporting capabilities have also been added to help administrators see the results of the training and gauge user performance.

The continued improvement of the training platform along with Wombat’s Continuous Training Methodology has helped organizations achieve up to a 90% reduction in susceptibility to phishing attacks and malware infections.

Joe Ferrara, President and CEO of Wombat Security Technologies said, “Wombat is deeply committed to the expansion and enhancement of our product portfolio to provide our customers with the most comprehensive security training program to improve their security posture.” Ferrara went on to explain, “We believe Gartner’s position matches the rapid adoption of our products in the market and the superior results of our customers, which has resulted in our 100%+ compounded annual growth rate for five years running.”
