Mimecast has announced it has now opened its new London HQ in 1 Finsbury Avenue in Broadgate. The company has moved to its new 79,000 Sq. ft office space which will support the cybersecurity firm’s expansion plans. The company I about to embark on a major recruitment drive and will be hiring new staff for its research and development teams. Up to 100 new jobs are expected to be filled over the coming months.
The company recently announced it has had 27% year-over-year growth and generated revenues of $99.2 million in Q1, 2019. The company now has more than 35,000 business customers globally and has been recently valued at $2.4 billion.
London remains a key location for cybersecurity, as confirmed by a recent survey conducted by Mimecast and British Land. 74% of respondents believed London was still an important location for cybersecurity and 56% of cybersecurity professionals based in London expect to remain in the capital for the next 5 years. Mimecast hopes that the central London location will help it attract top talent while giving existing staff access to better amenities.
