Fortinet Launches New Managed Security Service Provider Program

By Richard Anderson

With cybercriminals increasing their efforts to gain access to business networks and sensitive data, and data breaches at an all time high, it has never been more important to ensure all vulnerabilities are identified and appropriate cybersecurity solutions are deployed.

Many companies have struggled to protect their networks due to a lack of in-house expertise, and instead have chosen to outsource cybersecurity to Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). MSSPs have the necessary experience, talent, and resources at their disposal to ensure businesses receive the best possible level of protection, tailored to their unique needs.

To cater to the growing volume of MSSPs, Fortinet has created a new MSSP program. The new program provides MSSPs with unprecedented access to its security solutions and internal tools, and increased levels of support to ensure MSSPs can meet the demands of their customers.

The aim of the new program is to encourage MSSPs to start providing Fortinet solutions to their clients, which it is hoped will help them to expand growth and ensure their customers get the best level of protection and return on their investment.

In addition to access to Fortinet solutions, the new MSSP program provides access to the Fortinet’s Developer Network, official documentation, its APIs, and a slew of tools that were developed by Fortinet for internal use. These tools help to unlock the full potential of Fortinet solutions and give access to previously inaccessible features.

Support has been increased, which includes the opportunity for online training for technical and sales staff on the use of its products, and Fortinet also now provides support for marketing, sales and technical activities. MSSP partners benefit from dedicated account management and will be given access to beta programs and invite-only events.

MSSP program members will also be given access to the FortiConverter policy migration tool, which simplifies and automates the migration process to ensure solutions can be delivered rapidly, and the FortiDeploy bulk provisioning tool, which helps MSSPs roll out FortiGate, FortiWiFi, and FortiAP solutions with a single-click.

All solutions can be accessed through the FortiPortal – a single pane of glass that can be used to manage all customer networks, with the ability to customize dashboards for multitenant policy management and analytics.
