CloudHealth Technologies Recognized in Forrester Wave Hybrid Cloud Management Report

CloudHealth Technologies has been named a “strong performer” in the Forrester Wave Hybrid Cloud Management, Q2, 2018 report.

This is the second cloud cost optimization and management Forrester Wave report published in the past two weeks, and CloudHealth Technologies has been recognized in both, with Forrester rating CloudHealth Technologies as a leader in the Forrester Wave: Cloud Cost Monitoring and Optimization, Q2 2018.

The Forrester Wave reports are rigorous evaluations of vendors conducted over a period of several months by researchers at Forrester. The Forrester Wave reports help businesses create a shortlist of suitable vendors to evaluate, saving them valuable time and effort when selecting new vendors.

For products and services to warrant a Forrester Wave report, the market must have reached a certain level of maturity and there must be sufficient buyer interest to warrant a report. The hybrid cloud management market has certainly reached the minimum level of maturity to warrant a report and there is considerable interest from businesses who are looking for solutions to help with governance and cost optimization for hybrid cloud environments.

In order for a product or service to be considered for inclusion in the Hybrid Cloud Management Wave, a vendor must have developed “a multipurpose suite that provides a variety of cloud management capabilities across monitoring, brokerage, provisioning, template creation, orchestration, etc. This suite must provide management for generic workloads, and not just specialize in the management of a specific workload, infrastructure type, or vertical.”

Solutions were only considered for inclusion if they provided cost monitoring and optimization insights for AWS, Azure, and vSphere-based clouds by January 1, 2018, and allowed the management of multiple cloud environments through a single management console. Solutions must also be sold as standalone tools and have achieved revenues of at least $7.5 million in 2017.

CloudHealth Technologies is a relative newcomer to hybrid cloud management, but even so, the company already has an impressive current offering, sound strategy, and strong market presence. The CloudHealth platform was a worthy inclusion in Forrester’s list of the 12 most significant venders in the field.

Forrester explained in the report that “CloudHealth was among the Strong Performers in the evaluation, receiving among the highest score in the product vision, and number of customers criteria.”

“We’re excited to be included in this group of the 12 most significant vendors, especially as a newer entrant into this market,” said Rachel Dines, CloudHealth’s Sr. Director of Product Marketing.
