CloudHealth Optimization Desk Launched to Help Customers During Covid-19 Crisis

The COVID-19 crisis has forced businesses to make many changes and there is considerable uncertainty, which has made optimizing cloud resources and reducing cloud costs a challenge.

Many businesses have found that they are wasting money during the COVID-19 crisis by not buying enough Reserved Instances and Savings Plans, and end up having to pay the extra costs for On-Demand resources rather than buying too many Reserved instances that are not fully used.

While purchasing more Researched Instances/Savings Plans is an option, there are other factors that must be considered. The increased volatility and instability can be seen in the AWS spot instance market, with large fluctuations in costs. There are also large fluctuations in the currency markets, which influences cloud bills and reservation buying strategies. During the COVID-19 crisis there has been a major increase in demand for remote productivity tools, which has made optimizing cloud resources fully even more of a challenge.

To help customers optimize their cloud infrastructure correctly and keep their cloud costs down during these challenging times, CloudHealth has launched a new Optimization Desk. The Optimization Desk is a free service that has been created to help customers who have had to react to changes in market dynamics.

CloudHealth has started reaching out to customers and is generating a free report card based on the company’s executive business review (EBR) artifacts and Optimization Playbook. The reports will consolidate and improve artifacts and align them to the cloud maturity model, and by doing so, identify areas where savings can be made.

The reports focus on five key areas where optimization is required, demonstrating how customers compare to benchmarks and KPIs. Armed with the report, and assisted by CloudHealth technical account managers and sales engineers, customers will be able to prioritize and then implement the recommendations.

“CloudHealth is here to help you make the most informed decisions. Together we’ll weather the storm and CloudHealth will do everything we can to be an indispensable partner in your digital transformation.”
