TigerText has announced a new partnership with U.S. Cellular, making it easier for the wireless carrier’s customers to access TigerText’s secure enterprise messaging technology and keep private conversations confidential and transmitted data secure.
TigerText is the nation’s leading provider of secure messaging technology and its platform is currently used by four of the top five for-profit healthcare systems in the United States. The secure messaging solutions are now in use by physicians and nurses in well over 5,000 healthcare facilities in the United States.
The TigerText secure messaging platform incorporates a wide range of controls to prevent messages from being intercepted and viewed by unauthorized individuals. The secure messaging platform ensures communications comply with the privacy and security standards of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and the requirements of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
The platform allows protected healthcare information (PHI) to be securely transmitted between members of care teams, improving efficiency, boosting productivity, and accelerating workflows while driving down operational costs.
As TigerText co-founder and president, Brad Brooks, points out, “As companies and individuals face the growing challenge of streamlining communication while keeping their information secure, we’ve seen an increased demand for TigerText’s messaging solutions.” While the company’s secure messaging solutions have been extensively adopted by healthcare providers, its platform can be used in a wide range of industries to ensure conversations remain 100% private.
Announcing the partnership, Brooks said, “We’re excited to be working with U.S. Cellular to bring secure messaging solutions to a growing number of businesses and individuals who need them to communicate and do their jobs more efficiently.”
Scott Scheuber, director of product management at U.S. Cellular, said “With heightened concerns around privacy and related regulations, it’s critical that our customers can rely on U.S. Cellular to offer a text messaging option for businesses and governments to safeguard their secure conversations and communications.”
The Chicago-based wireless carrier provides national network coverage to cities and rural communities, and is the fifth largest full-service wireless carrier in the United States. Those customers can now take advantage of TigerText’s secure network via the TigerText smartphone app. The cost of the service is simply added to customers’ monthly U.S. Cellular bill.
