Cofense PhishMe Simulator Named 2018 SC Media Award Finalist for Third Consecutive Year

The finalists for the 2018 SC Media Awards have been announced, and for the third successive year, PhishMe has been recognized.

Cofense PhishMe Simulator, a phishing email simulation platform that can be used to test resilience to phishing attacks, has been named a finalist in the Best IT Security-Related Training Program category.

SC Media one of the most well-respected cybersecurity news outlets in the world. For the past 25 years, the company has been producing magazines, newsletters, and eBooks for IT security professionals, providing them with the technical information they need to deal with the security challenges they face on a daily basis.

SM Media publishes detailed, impartial product reviews on the best software and hardware solutions to purchase to prevent and mitigate cyberattacks and runs numerous digital and live events.

Each year, SC Media recognizes products, vendors, and cybersecurity professionals at a glittering award ceremony. The finalists for the professional awards are selected by a panel of expert judges. Each product is carefully assessed on a range of criteria and the extensive list of products in each category is narrowed down to a handful of finalists. The finalists are then scrutinized more closely and a winner is chosen.

The SC Media awards are considered the gold standard of accomplishment for cybersecurity professionals, products, and services, although simply being named as a finalist for an award shows a company’s product is exceptional.

“Protecting sensitive information and private data from ambitious cyber attackers can be a great challenge,” said Illena Armstrong, VP, editorial, SC Media. “PhishMe has been named a finalist for the SC Award Professional Award for raising the bar within the industry and successfully meeting this challenge.”

“Phishing is still regarded as one of today’s top cyber threats – and resilient employees who proactively report phishing emails are the best defense to combat threats that have bypassed traditional security layers. We are dedicated to continually supporting our customers phishing defense program needs with strong content based on real-life attacks,” said PhishMe CEO and Co-Founder, Rohyt Belani. “We are honored to be recognized as a finalist in the 2018 SC Awards for the third consecutive year.”

The winners of the Awards will be announced on April 12, 2018 at the SC Awards ceremony in San Francisco.
