PhishMe Reports Another Record Year of Growth

Yesterday, the leading phishing defense solution provider PhishMe announced it has enjoyed another record year of growth. The Leesburg, Virginia-based firm has increased its workforce to 300 employees and over the course of 2016 has increased its customer-base to more than 1,200 enterprises, helping them to defend their networks from cyberattacks.

The firm now has an Annual Run Rate approaching $50 million, with year over year new product adoption growth of 350% for PhishMe Triage™. The company’s recent Series C funding round raised a further $42.5 million from investors. To put that figure into perspective, the investment is greater then the combined total of all the firm’s direct competitors. Further, that capital was raised at a particularly challenging time, which shows just how much confidence its investors have in the firm.

2016 has been an impressive year for PhishMe. The company has opened new offices around the world to provide local support to its customers. In 2016, PhishMe opened new offices in Australia, Dubai, Singapore and Saudi Arabia, and has also embarked upon a major expansion of its European HQ in London, which now employs more than 30 members of staff.

2016 also saw a major expansion of PhishMe partnerships, with 14 of the world’s leading security solution providers partnering with PhishMe and joining its Technology Alliance Program. Last year, PhishMe was included in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Awareness Computer Based Training and was recognized for its completeness of vision and ability to execute.

The company also picked up several industry awards, including Best IT Security-Related Training Platform at the SC Magazine Awards and inclusion in the Deloitte Fast 500 list and the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies.

PhishMe was also a finalist in the Security Trailblazer category at the 2016 Tech Trailblazer Awards, Anti-Phishing Solution of the Year at the UK’s Computing Security Awards and The Human Factor Awards.

CEO Rohyt Belani was named CEO of the Year at the 2016 Info Security Products Guide Global Excellence Awards®, and was a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Mid-Atlantic category and also a finalist at DC Inno’s 50 on Fire Awards.

All in all, it has been a tremendous year for PhishMe. The firm is looking forward to breaking records again in 2017 and enjoying another year of exceptional growth.
