Each year, SC Media hosts a prestigious awards ceremony where the best companies and information security products are recognized and celebrated.
The SC Awards are widely regarded as some of the most prestigious awards for companies in the field of information security. Each company and product is scrutinized by two panels of judges which score the companies and products on a wide range of criteria. To be selected as a finalist in one of the 29 categories shows a company can truly claim to be one of the best of the best. Being named as a category winner is a tremendous honor. The awards are highly coveted and clearly show companies have gone the extra mile and developed a truly outstanding product.
This year, the human phishing defense solution provider PhishMe was nominated as a finalist in the Best Professional Training or Certification Programme category for PhishMe Simulator™ and PhishMe Reporter™ and was named category winner at the awards presentation at Old Billingsgate, London on June 6.
PhishMe Simulator™ is a phishing simulation platform that allows enterprises to send a wide range of phishing emails to the workforce to gauge the effectiveness of security awareness training. The solution includes real-world simulations of phishing emails containing a wide range of social engineering tricks to fool end users. PhishMe Reporter™ is an email addon that allows employees to report suspicious emails to their security team with a single click, allowing action to be taken to address the threat. The PhishMe methodology turns employees from a company’s biggest liability into a security asset.
Tony Morbin, Editor in Chief, SC Magazine UK, said “The security risks and challenges facing private and public sector companies these days are constant and complex. PhishMe stands out for its attempts to help ordinary users get to grips with looking for the signs of a phishing attack and prevent them from happening.” Morbin went on to explain, “The combination of PhishMe Simulator and PhishMe Reporter is a significant achievement and one that shows PhishMe’s dedication to innovation and protecting against the ever-changing threat landscape.”
Rohyt Belani, Co-founder and CEO of PhishMe said, “We are honored to accept this award from SC Media, as the panel of judges acknowledge our philosophy and execution in recognizing PhishMe’s Simulator and Reporter solutions as a unique combination in the phishing mitigation landscape.”
This is the second year in a row that PhishMe has picked up a SC Europe Award. Last year, PhishMe was named winner of the Best IT Security-Related Training Program category. PhishMe also picked up an Info Security PG 2016 Global Excellence Award last year.
