Rohyt Belani, CEO and co-founder of PhishMe, the leading provider of anti-phishing solutions for enterprises, has been named as a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year (mid-Atlantic) at the annual EY awards. This is the second year in a row that Belani has been recognized at the annual award ceremony.
This is the 31st year of the EY Awards program, which recognize the excellence of entrepreneurs for innovation, commitment to the business and communities, leadership and the financial performance of their companies.
PhishMe enjoyed record growth in 2016 with the firm continuing to go from strength to strength. The firm now employs more than 300 individuals and serves more than 1,200 enterprise customers around the world. The company now has an Annual Run Rate (ARR) of almost $50 million.
A myriad of cyber threats must be mitigated by organizations, although phishing is the number one attack vector. Organizations can employ a host of technological defenses to prevent phishing emails from reaching end users’ inboxes, but technology alone cannot prevent phishing attacks from being successful.
PhishMe has tackled the problem by developing a suite of phishing defense products with a focus on improving user awareness, modifying behavior and learning through engagement. Its solutions incorporate both human and technological elements to counter evolving cyber threats.
The 2017 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards
The awards program has expanded again this year and now covers more than 145 cities spread across 60 countries around the world.
To be selected as a finalist with such strong competition is testament to the drive, commitment and results displayed throughout the year.
On hearing that he had been selected once again, Belani said, “To be recognized two years in a row as an EY Entrepreneur of The Year is an incredible accomplishment, and a testament to the hard work of the entire PhishMe team.” Belani went on to say, “I’m especially proud of our company’s culture that is built on a foundation of meritocracy, empathy, and transparency.”
The winners of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards will be announced at a gala event at the Ritz Carlton, Tyson Corner, on June 15, 2017.
