Each year, Inc. Magazine compiles and published the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing privately owned small companies in the United States – the most dynamic segment of the U.S economy. The companies in the 2018 Inc. 5000 list collectively generated more than $206.2 billion in revenue in 2017 with the top company – SwanLeap – recording an astonishing 3-year growth rate of 75,661%. Even number 5,000 – Pedigree Technologies – registered three-year growth of 57%.
For the fourth consecutive year, Cofense – the leading human-driven anti-phishing solution provider – has been included on the list after registering impressive cumulative three-year growth of 429%. That was enough to secure the Leesburg, VA-based firm position 1,145 in the list. In 2017, the company generated annual revenue of $52.2 million.
2017 has been an eventful year for Cofense with the past six months seeing the firm go from strength to strength. Cofense has rebranded from PhishMe, has completed a major acquisition, and has switched to a channel-only business model.
The firm is constantly innovating and has launched new cybersecurity solutions in the past year to better protect its customers from phishing, email impersonation attacks and other cyberthreats. The latest new product is its Phishing-Specific Orchestration, Automation and Response platform – Cofense Vision. Cofense Triage has also received a major update in 2018.
These updates and new product releases have helped the firm further accelerate growth, increase its revenue, and substantially grow its customer base both domestically and internationally. Through the company’s training program tens of millions of employees have now been turned into security assets who can identify phishing threats and help to disrupt phishing attacks more rapidly with fewer resources.
