PhishLine Included in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Awareness Computer-Based Training

Anti-phishing training company PhishLine has been recognized by Gartner as a leader in the field of security awareness training having been added to the Gartner 2016 Magic Quadrant for Security Awareness Computer-Based Training.

Each year, Gartner publishes its Magic Quadrants, which rate companies for their completeness of vision and ability to execute. Gartner does not endorse products or vendors, but the Magic Quadrants are used by many firms to select the best vendors. Being included in a Magic Quadrant shows that the company is a true leader in its respective field.

As Gartner explains in its report, humans can be either the strongest or weakest defense against cyberthreats. The difference is training.  Employees can be transformed from liabilities into security assets with effective training. Employers wanting to improve their security posture can invest in technology to prevent phishing attacks, but they will always be exposed if their employees are not security aware. Gartner says, “Effective security education and communication are critical elements of a people-centric security strategy.”

Milwaukee-based PhishLine is a leader in the field of security awareness training, with its platform used by many Fortune 1000 companies to train employees to be security assets.

The PhishLine platform can be used to raise awareness of the threat from phishing, malware, ransomware and social engineering and change employee behavior and effectively manage those threats. The company maintains a library of thousands of security awareness training resources and puts training to the test via its phishing simulation platform.

The aim of the company is to provide information security professionals with the tools and resources they need to mount a robust defense against phishing and social engineering attacks.

Mark Chapman, PhishLine President and Founder, said “We are truly grateful for having been afforded this privilege, and extend a big THANK YOU to our remarkable customers for granting us the opportunity help them take their security awareness program to the next level.  We believe PhishLine simply could not have achieved Gartner MQ Leader placement without the support and loyalty of our clients.”
